Brad Pitt was awarded the Best Supporting Actor at the 92nd Academy Awards held at Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, on February 9. Pitt received the Award for playing the role of Cliff Booth in 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood'.

Talking about the award, Pitt said:

"Really incredible to have received this. The honor of honors really. It is all about Quentin Tarantino, you are an original and the film industry wouldn't be the same without you. Thank you for giving me a chance to play Cliff Booth."

He added,

The actor also thanked his fellow star, Leonardo Di Caprio, calling him fantastic.

"Rest of the cast and crew, I also want to say it’s time we give it to our stunt co-ordinators. I'm not one to look back, but this is for all the wonderful people I've met. This is for my kids, I adore you."

Meanwhile, Laura Dern was named best supporting actress for playing a formidable divorce lawyer in “Marriage Story.” It was her first win.

“American Factory” won best documentary. The film, distributed by Netflix and backed by Michelle and Barack Obama, looks at a clash between a Chinese entrepreneur and blue-collar Ohioans.

“Learning to Skateboard in a Warzone (If You’re a Girl)” won best documentary short. It was directed by Carol Dysinger and produced by Elena Andreicheva.

'Parasite' clinched the trophy for Best Original Screenplay, and director Bong Joon-ho accepted the award on the stage.
