Four Academy Award Winner 'Parasite' Will Be Added To Hulu In Just Over A Month

Parasite is a South Korean psychological thriller first released back in May 2019, and stars Song Kang-ho, Lee Sun-kyun, Cho Yeo-jeong, Choi Woo-shik and Park So-dam, directed by South Korean filmmaker Bong Joon-ho.

Hulu has announced it has exclusive streaming rights to Parasite starting April 8.

The Kim family, who lives in a small basement apartment and have low-paying temporary job as pizza box folder meet the wealthy Park family. Ki-woo, the son of the Kim family, applied as a tutor of the Park family’s daughter.

The rest of the Kim family decided to infiltrate the home of the Parks by posing as unrelated, high qualified individuals but their easy life gets complicated when their deception is threatened with exposure.

The movie was a huge hit, they even took home the statuette for the Academy award for Best Picture, Best Foreign Language Film and Best Original Screenplay, Bong Joon-ho also won himself the Best Director.

During Director Bong Joon-ho’s acceptance speech, he honoured the four other film makers nominated in the category: Sam Mendes, Todd Phillips, Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino, and said that he wanted to ‘split’ the award with them.
